Lee Mount Primary School is a medium sized, co-educational community primary school in Halifax for day pupils. The school is pleasantly sited in Lee Mount adjacent to Shroggs Park. The main buildings are about 100 years old and the Nursery Unit was added in 1977. In total there are 15 classrooms, 2 halls, a resource room, library and ICT suite.
There has been an extensive programme of refurbishment to ensure the building meets the demands of the National Curriculum and provides an appropriate environment to support the children's education. As of September 2013, we have moved our nursery and preschool provision over to our Family Centre, which has undergone considerable refurbishment. We have extended the building to allow us to provide pre-school education since January 2014.
The school has good play space, including a recently installed adventure playground and enclosed football / netball area and also uses Shroggs Park for games, special events and as a base for studies.
