Chair Governor - Mrs Michelle Attmere
Vice Chair Governor - Mr Glenn Roper
I am privileged to serve as a co-opted governor at Lee Mount Primary School and have done since 2.4.16 and Chair of the governing body since September 2016.
I live and work in Calderdale and have two grown up children. I have worked for Calderdale Council for the past 10 years within the Children’s and Young Peoples Service and I am currently a Service Manager with responsibility for Early Years and Childcare, Early Intervention, the Family Intervention Team and Children’s Centres.
Previous to this I worked within Children’s Centre daycare provision in both Bradford and Leeds and prior to that was the owner/manager of a private day nursery.
I have been a local authority governor at Lee Mount since February 2014.
I have a background in education having worked as a class and deputy head teacher at primary schools in north Halifax for twenty six years before becoming headteacher of a Junior school in Calderdale for ten years.
I volunteered for the role of governor because I had two granddaughters progressing through school which gave me the incentive to provide support to the school to try to ensure that all pupils receive the best education possible within the physical constraints of the building and the available budget.
